Verizon $20 Credit Deal for Network Outage

Verizon is providing a $20 account credit to customers impacted by the network outage on January 14, 2026. The credit can be redeemed through the My Verizon app.
How to Receive the $20 Credit
- Watch for a text message: Eligible customers will receive a text notification once the credit becomes available.
- Redeem in the app: Log in to the My Verizon app to accept and apply the credit to your account.
- Business customers: Verizon will contact business customers directly regarding their credits.
Once accepted in the app, the credit is —no need to call customer service or submit a claim. The credit is meant to cover multiple days of service and will appear on a future bill.
Other Ways to Earn Credits or Discounts from Verizon
Verizon also offers several ongoing programs that may provide additional savings:
- Trade-In Program: Receive instant credit, account credit, or a gift card when you trade in an eligible device, such as a phone, tablet, or smartwatch.

- Promotional Offers: Verizon frequently offers phones at no upfront cost through bill credits, typically requiring a qualifying unlimited plan or a new line of service.
