If you’re looking for a Summer Reading Program, check these out. The rewards range from free books to free movies!

This summer, did your kids read anything? Don’t forget to turn in their reading logs to get freebies! Here are some fun rewards and freebies they can earn:

Books-A-Million

When you read four books from the Summer Reading Adventure section and write about those four books in your Summer reading log, you will receive a FREE “Because of Winn Dixie” Notepad and Pen.

H-E-B

 By October 1st, kids had until October 1st to read their 10 books, and if they completed the form, they would get a free T-shirt. Just have parents initial the form and mail it to the address here. The date for 2022 hasn’t been updated yet, but it should be around the same.

Chuck-e-Cheese

Free 10 tokens for kids who read each day for 2 weeks in a row.

Barnes & Noble – From July – to August, kids in 1st – 6th grades who have read 8 books will receive a free book as long as they keep a journal.

Half-Price Summer Reading Program

Sign up for HPB’s Summer Reading Camp! Starting June 1 all registered campers will be able to download printable camp components all summer long, including book recommendation lists, craft and activity ideas, coloring sheets, and reward stickers. Check out the schedule and register your camper to join in on the fun!

Scholastic Summer Reading Program


From May 9 through August 19, kids can visit the summer zone in Scholastic Home Base, a completely free digital destination that offers stories, characters, games, and a community of readers. 

Book & Bundit Reading Program by Nothing Bundit Cakes

Local cake store Nothing Bundt Cakes is rewarding local students for reading!

– This program is for students from Pre-K through 5th grade.

– Students will receive a free bundt cake for every 400 minutes read each month. They must record minutes read and have a parent’s signature.

– Students will also receive a certificate and balloons.

Public Library: Public libraries also offer summer reading reward programs and fun activities for kids!
