How to pay less at the pump

• Use a fuel rewards app. Cash-back apps like Upside routinely knock 10–25¢ off per gallon at participating stations — the link in the panel above gets you started.
• Join your grocery chain’s fuel program. Kroger, Safeway/Albertsons (for U), Tom Thumb and others convert grocery points into per-gallon discounts.
• Check warehouse-club pumps. Costco, Sam’s Club and Walmart fuel stations are consistently among the cheapest in any town.
